Naming

"What name do you want?"
Been toying with the names of the KerServers. Could have just given them codenames like the Ironman suits but it feels too inhuman. So I digged back into the History of Beer ( fascinating read I must say, for anyone who's into these kind of stuffs) and had a bit of fun away from stress.

Anyway, from the many many names which came up and googled, this is the brief history of the first Prototype's name.

She is the ancient Sumerian matron goddess of the intoxicating beverage, beer....

Ninkasi.

Business

Just had dinner with a dear friend and had some detailed and insightful discussions regarding the directions and steps needed. Lots of things needed to sort out yet everything is becoming more and more clear.
Busy time ahead but again, will be fun and fruitful!

Broken and improvements

As expected, something broke, but better now than later!
One component in the Coupler unit got broken when tapping, turns out to be a piece where most force will be taken during the tapping procedure.
A whole day spent back at the drawing board to analyse and identify the cause and found a solution. Then went and discussed with the genius at HKPC.
The modified design should be ready for more testing next week.
In the meanwhile, canned beer! Or better still, work on the pre-production design ideas!

Prototype done!

After months of research and development, it's good to go!

When it all started I had a fun motto "How far do I have to go to get a nice cold draught at home?" just to be a bit cheesy, yet it turned out to be quite a long way!

Thanks to the brilliant guys at the Hong Kong Productivity Council, my concept can be realized. Everything is working great as thou it is a proper commercial draught dispenser, and to cater for the normal home use I've added some special features which will not only ensure the longevity of the kegged beer itself but also all the stuff that are inside the machine.

One of the feature is a unique cleaning system while the mini-keg is still in use! More to that later.

I'll try and keep you updated in due course!

In the meantime, I can be followed at Twitter @dj_ghosie . Please ask whatever questions you may have of this as this is the best way to make the KegServer even better!
